I know the donor was a BCM medical student. in 1979. I was born on August 26, 1980. I was six weeks early. They were supposed to match the donor with characteristics that were close to my legal father. he's 6'0, brown hair and eyes. He's Jewish. Unfortunately, I do not have any other definite details about my donor.
Doctors were Aaron Chinn, Heinrick Beernink, Ferdinand Beernink, and Amen Ness. Office assistants were named Lisa Justi, Jan, Linda, Laurel, Beth, and Debbie. Many or all of these doctors are retired now, so the address and phone number could be obsolete. Drs. Chinn and Ness may still be practicing; both Beernincks are retired. 2011: Dr. Chinn says all records were destroyed 10 years ago.
Dr. Josef Z. Scott was the director of the infertility clinic at the University of Alberta in Edmonton the 27 years prior to April 1, 2004, when he passed away.
No information available - donor records were not kept and/ or disclosed at the time. I'm 5'7", athletic build, brown wavy hair, green eyes, blood type A+. I also have 3 siblings who were also conceived at the same clinic - they were born in 1982, 1983, and 1986. It is likely that we each have a different donor since at the time donations were used "fresh" and even mixed during the procedure.
